The body and cover of the Epson V600 scanner are made of dark plastic with a matte finish. A silver border surrounds the bottom of the cover and the glossy surface of the front panel of the case.

On the cover is the manufacturer’s logo in silver embossed letters. The unit measures 280x485x118 mm. On the rear panel of the case there are connectors for the power supply and interface cables. The deadbolt for the transport lock is also located here. When closed, it mechanically blocks access to the USB connector, making cable connection impossible.

In terms of the speed of the Epson V600, it takes about one and a half minutes to scan a 24×35 mm positive and two minutes to scan a negative in the highest quality mode; it takes four to five seconds to preview an A4 page; it takes about two minutes to scan an A4 page in the highest quality mode and about two minutes to scan an A4 page in the lowest quality mode.
